The Glory of the KIng

Aug 9, 2026

•John's encounter with the glorified Jesus in Revelation 1 was the first time he saw Jesus without the "filter" of his earthly humanity. The description of Jesus in that vision emphasizes his unmatched power, holiness, and authority.

•Jesus revealed himself to John before showing him the hard things ahead. We need a clear picture of who God is before we face the difficulties of life.

•In Revelation 5, heaven erupts in worship not simply because Jesus is the Creator, but because he willingly laid down his life to purchase people for God from every tribe, language, and nation.

•Philippians 2 reminds us that Jesus, though fully God, chose to humble himself, take on human form, and become obedient even to death on a cross. Because of that, God exalted him above every name.

•If God was willing to die for us, he is certainly committed to hearing our prayers, walking with us through every valley, and holding us in his hands.
