Greater Things: Sacrificial Freedom
Sep 27, 2026
*Identity is formed by everything around us -- parents, culture, failures, successes, and the messages the world sends us -- but none of those sources know us the way God does.
*God called Gideon a "mighty warrior" while he was hiding in a winepress, afraid of the enemy. God speaks to who we were created to be, not to who our circumstances have told us we are.
*The most true thing about you is what God says about you.
*Knowing your identity in God is not enough on its own -- you must take steps of faith to live into it.
*God often starts with a small step, not the whole assignment. Gideon was not told to raise an army first. He was told to clean up his own household first.
