1. We Have Been Forgiven

*God's forgiveness is complete and permanent

*Unlike human forgiveness, God doesn't keep a record of wrongs

*Our past sins are removed "as far as the east is from the west"

2. We Have Been Reconciled with God

*God desires relationship, not just our obedience

*Like the prodigal son's father, God is eagerly waiting for us to come home

*Salvation is about restored relationship, not just a ticket to heaven
